Become a Patient

For the safety of our patients and staff, we are now offering virtual appointments. Your provider will contact you prior to your appointment with instructions on how to prepare.

MERCI Clinic is committed to providing confidential medical, limited dental and pharmaceutical services to individuals who have no health insurance and are of limited income regardless of race, color, creed, national origin, gender, religion or other legally protected status.

MANY adults with incomes below 300% of the poverty level fall into a gap of care; their incomes are too high to get MEDICAID and too low to qualify for private health coverage.   The doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists and office staff who volunteer at MERCI Clinic fill this gap so patients don’t have to choose between food and utilities OR health care and medicine.

Q: How do I become a patient?

A: You first have to become eligible. Make an appointment with Eligibility on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 9:00am and 2:00pm and bring the following information:

  • proof of household income

  • proof of no health insurance (Medicaid denial)

  • valid picture ID with current address

Q: How long will it take to get an appointment?

A: We can not schedule Urgent Care visits. Medical appointments are scheduled 2-4 weeks in advance.

NO SHOW POLICY: MERCI Clinic has a strict NO SHOW policy. If a patient misses a scheduled appointment at MERCI Clinic, or an appointment made to a specialist without first calling to cancel at least 24 hours prior, this will be considered a “NO SHOW.”

Any patient having TWO NO SHOW appointments within a 6 month period will be sent a warning letter.

THREE NO SHOW appointments within a 6 month period will constitute dismissal from the clinic for one year,  a notification letter will be sent.
